Well, I'm glad that's one little mystery solved, she thought.įor the first time since the spear had hissed across the cabin, she breathed out. It's just like shaking hands, after all, to show you are not holding a sword. Perhaps throwing a spear means: Look, I've thrown away my spear! I'm not armed! Yes, that sounds right. What had she expected him to do when he got here? Even on a boat that isn't wrecked, it's hard to find a doorbell. This was about the time the boy would be here. ![]()

So, despite my frustration at how easily they kept their fling free of feelings, I could see all of the ways these two were right for each other. These two seriously needed to have a conversation, lol. I kept seeing potential moments of intimacy, and they were almost always overlooked or tossed to the side. But, in keeping things casual, they avoided developing an emotional connection – and I think they were too successful at that. The opposites attract dynamic worked, and it was easy to see the attraction sizzle between these two. The hero is a sweetheart of a guy who gives off bad boy vibes, and he makes the perfect complement to the put-together, image-focused heroine. While I think there were a few missed opportunities (especially in enhancing the emotional connection), I enjoyed this overall and had no trouble bingeing it in one sitting. ![]() ![]() It’s lust over love for this couple, but that makes for a fast-paced, sexy read. ![]() |
