![]() “Why Mummy Drinks” is hilarious and a MUST in everyone’s TBR list. ![]() An afternoon at a soft play centre is an event for which ‘there is not enough wine in the world to ease the pain’. In fact Ellen thinks she is ‘a terrible parent’ and all aspects of parenting are an ordeal. One who finds alcohol as a solution to everything happening around. I can say “Why Mummy Drinks” is the diary of an exhausted mother. We all drink, we all need Me time and a shoulder to cry on and we all sometimes dream of punching our partners in the face for acting like complete and utter twats. ![]() This book showed me once more that we are all the same. I don’t want to be a sensible woman, I don’t want to have a fancy haircut and bake all day and feed my daughter only organic food and home made quinoa cupcakes because I hate them and i envy them for being all they are. I started reading it thinking I am a mother, I am 39 and I swear I have my “F… all Friday” and I also have casual Wednesday or chill Monday whenever I feel like my child was too much and wine seems like the best thing in the world. ![]() Posh, middle class, working mom, stay at home mom, one child, six children, married, divorced, single …. ![]() This is one brilliant read for every woman and mother out there. ![]()
